Emsleys Wins National Client Care Award

At a glittering ceremony at London’s Dorchester Hotel last night (Wednesday 25 September) Emsleys beat more than 100 law firms from across the country to pick up the Client Care Initiative of the Year award at the inaugural Eclipse Proclaim Modern Law Awards.

Designed to celebrate talent and success in entrepreneurship, market development, business management and best practice in the modern legal services arena, the awards were judged by a senior panel of legal and business experts, including the Executive Director of the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Samantha Barrass; Chief Ombudsman, Adam Sampson and President of the Law Society, Lucy Scott-Moncrieff and presented by writer and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth.

Andrew Greenwood, partner and personal injury law expert at Emsleys, said; “This award is testimony to the vision and hard work of the whole Leeds team. It recognises the way we’ve invested in staff and technology to deliver great service and value for money, whilst making legal services accessible to all and rewarding clients for their loyalty.”

The awards judges considered a number of initiatives pioneered by Emsleys, including a range of fixed-fee services, a rewards scheme for client loyalty and a specialist online divorce advisory service. They also reviewed client satisfaction surveys at the firm which showed that 97.5% of clients would use the firm again and 97% would recommend the firm to family and friends.

The panel of experts also looked at Emsleys’ recently-launched Review My Claim: a free independent service to help accident victims get the compensation they’re entitled to. Review My Claim deals with claims in progress, where people are unhappy with the advice they’re getting, where their advisers have made a mistake or when they’ve been told their case has no merit. It also advises on settled claims where people are unhappy with the amount of compensation they’ve been awarded.

“When the presenter, Gyles Brandreth, presented the award he said that this was the category all law firms coveted, because without happy clients none of us would be in business. We’re extremely proud to have been selected by such a prestigious panel, which has clearly recognised how we put our clients at the heart of everything we do,” said Andrew.
