How to help with Operation Santa

For many of us, Christmas is a time of joy and celebration, a chance to give and receive gifts, and an opportunity to spend time with family and loved ones.

For some children, however, Christmas isn’t like this.

Emsleys is launching Operation Santa for its 5th consecutive year in support of the Barnardos Family Intervention Service which provides parenting, practical and emotional support to families and high-risk children from disadvantaged backgrounds. We recognise that many children who come from difficult backgrounds will not experience the joy of Christmas in the way that many of us do. Through Operation Santa we aim to collect and donate Christmas presents to the Barnardos Family Intervention Service with the hope of igniting a sense of awe and celebration amongst these children, who without our support, may not receive any gifts this Christmas.

We are looking to collect as many presents as we can between Emsleys’ staff, clients, friends and family, for children between the ages of 0 and 12, with a recommended guide price of £6 per present. Donated gifts do not need to be wrapped.

If you would like to support Barnardos this Christmas by pledging a gift, please do so by bringing your present into one of our branches by Friday 6th December 2013. For a full list of our branch and office locations visit www.emsleys.co.uk/contact.
