Howard Serr
Born and raised in Leeds, Howard holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the London School of Economics. Articled in Leeds, he was admitted as a solicitor in 1975.
He specialises in commercial litigation and personal injury.
Andrew Greenwood
Andrew graduated from Durham University having studied law, and was also awarded a Personal Injury Postgraduate Diploma at Leeds. He specialises in serious cases involving head injury, spine injury and fatal accidents. He is on the Headway panel, and undertook specialist Training by the Spinal Injuries Association of which the Practice is a Corporate Partner. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel.
He holds judicial office as a Deputy District Judge on the North Eastern Circuit.
John Murray
John was articled in London and admitted as a solicitor in 1989 before relocated to West Yorkshire in 1991. He was one of the founder members of the West Yorkshire Housing Law Group, which is a regional forum of professionals working in the housing law sector.
Nationally he is a member of the Law Society’s Housing Law Committee, as representative of lawyers acting on behalf of RSLs. The Committee monitors and advises the legal profession on all areas relating to residential lettings in the public and private sectors.
He has also trained a number of RSLs, local authorities and others on a wide range of housing law topics.
Alistair McKinlay
Alistair graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1993 with a degree in Geography. He then completed the Common Professional Examination and Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University in Leicester before training as a solicitor with a firm in Wakefield.
He qualified in 1997 and joined Emsleys in January 2000 to deal with a range of property matters, including residential sales and purchases, estate development work and commercial property transactions. He was appointed a Partner in 2002.
Since qualification, Alistair has concentrated on both domestic and commercial property work.
Celia Bubb
Celia is the Partner in charge of the Conveyancing offices in Garforth. She has a French degree from Manchester University and a London External Law degree.
Celia joined Emsleys in 1980 and specialises in domestic conveyancing.
Natalie Argyle
After obtaining a Bachelor of Law degree from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2000, Natalie then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York.
She began her training contract with Emsleys in 2001 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2003.
Natalie now specialises in personal injury and fatal accident claims working from the Colton Mill office and was appointed Partner in 2006.
Liz Stephen
Liz specialises in Wills, probate, inheritance tax planning and probate disputes. She was educated at the London School of Economics and the College of Law in York and joined Emsleys in 2001, qualifying in 2003.
Liz was appointed Partner in 2006 and works from the Viscount Court office.
