Emsleys Greens
Emsleys takes green issues seriously and 2008 has seen the formation of the Emsleys Greens, a team specifically set up with the aim of reducing Emsleys' carbon footprint so that we play our part in helping the environment. The Emsleys Greens are made up of voluntary members committed to helping Emsleys become a greener firm and who are spread across Emsleys' various offices.
Emsleys is encouraging its employees to consider the impact on the environment and various policies are being put into place, from the introduction of recycling bins across the firm to simple measures such as turning off equipment that is not being used.
In addition, as part of Emsleys' involvement with Business in the Community, National Cares Action Day on May 16 2008 will focus on the environment. Emsleys will have a number of staff participating in an environmentally-themed challenge with other businesses in Yorkshire which will be covered by ITV.
