Emsleys Team Give Lotherton Hall a Makeover

Volunteers from Emsleys and Eml have lent their support to a Business in the Community (BITC) initiative to restore the grounds of Lotherton Hall, an Edwardian country house in Aberford.

A team of thirteen from across Emsleys’ estate agency, legal and financial services departments spent eight hours transforming scroll gates and 130 metres of wrought iron railings in the gardens of the hall.

Organised by Cares, an initiative of BITC, the project saw sales negotiators, legal assistants, Partners and managers pick up their paintbrushes and transform  ageing railings to rejuvenate the gardens and encourage more visitors to Lotherton Hall.

Chris Hosley, Financial Services Manager at E.m.l Financial Services, owned by Emsleys solicitors, said: “We had great fun taking part in this project and it was very satisfying to see the final result.  Lotherton Hall is an important part of Leeds’ heritage and attracts a lot of visitors to the area, so we were pleased to be able to play a role in its upkeep.”

Established in 1987 Emsleys provides a comprehensive range of legal, financial, estate agency and letting services to businesses and individuals across Leeds and the surrounding region. The firm has offices in Crossgates, Kippax, Garforth, Castleford, Rothwell, Sherburn in Elmet and Colton.
