Graduate

We have a long and successful track record in recruiting trainee solicitors. There are usually one or two trainee solicitor vacancies each year, although these are normally filled two years in advance.

Although we look for a certain level of proven academic ability in our candidates, this is not our sole selection criteria, and we’re always interested to receive applications from those who have made a change in career.

Nurturing talent

It’s our policy, wherever possible, to retain our trainees after qualification. Many of our current assistant solicitors have followed this route and will no doubt continue to make a positive contribution to our future success.

We believe that the training contract we offer provides our trainees with a broad base of skills and experience, as well as the confidence to handle a variety of work upon qualification. In most instances our trainees are directly coached and supervised by one of our Partners in each of the legal disciplines that training is undertaken.

Within this supportive environment, we encourage trainees to take early responsibility for the work they are handling.

Supporting continual development

We place great emphasis on individual development and ensure that we provide the infrastructure and support to deliver this, including the latest IT systems and web-enabled access to practice support resources.
