The Umpteenth Social Housing Team Pub Quiz took place at Leedsfamous Victoria pub last week, with a record turn out, creating a lively atmosphere.
Congratulations are due once again to the Housing Team from Zenith Chambers in Leeds who once again walked off with the Trophy at this year's Social Housing Law Pub Quiz. Following a strictly enforced Mobile Phone Amnesty, fair play and justice was done.
Leeds Action to Create Homes came in second, and Connect Housing Association took third place. In no particular order the teams from Pennine Housing 2000, Yorkshire Housing Association,Chevin Housing Association, Leeds and Yorkshire Housing Association, Places for People Homes and Emsleys all did their best. It wouldn't be fair to announce on the Blogosphere which organisation picked up the Wooden Spoon for a second time running; suffice to say if you are awarded it again next year wee going to make it a gold* one.
Dot Greaves and Donna Rahilly of L.A.T.C.H were leaving the Quiznight to spend the night sleeping rough for charity in a carpark in Bradford they easily persuaded the crowd (who were warm well fed and not sleeping outdoors) to donate for their cause and left the Victoria with almost £200 (the Keyhouse Project, a project to assist the homeless).
If you didn't have the opportunity last Thursday, you can donate to Dot's efforts here:
and if you weren't able to attend we hope to see you next year. We must find a bigger venue.
