Celebrating a 50 year long-service award

We’re very proud to be celebrating a unique long-service award. Solicitor John Field has become our longest-serving team member, reaching 50 years’ long-service this February.

John joined Emsleys (which was then known as Emsleys Collins) as an articled clerk in 1969, qualified as a solicitor in April 1971 and became a Junior Partner in July 1971.

John was one of the founding partners of Emsleys Solicitors in 1987, which he established alongside partners Robert Dyson, Paul Widdup and Howard Serr.

Throughout a long and distinguished career, John has worked tirelessly for his clients, assisting generations of families with property transactions, business sales and wills and probate matters.

We’re delighted John is still working with us as a Consultant in our Residential Conveyancing team, where his knowledge, expertise and friendly approach are valued by both clients and colleagues.

Director and Head of Conveyancing Alistair McKinlay said: “It’s a pleasure to be presenting John with an award for such great and longstanding service. John is, and remains, a great influence and inspiration for his Emsleys’ colleagues.”
