Emsleys moves to become a dementia friendly firm

To mark Dementia Action Week 2018, over 30 members of the Emsleys team are taking part in sessions to become Dementia Friends.

Director and Head of Wills and Probate Helen Gott is a Dementia Friends Champion and is leading three information sessions over the course of the week. After the sessions, attendees can elect to become Dementia Friends.

‘Dementia Friends’ is Alzheimer’s Society’s social action movement promoting knowledge, understanding and awareness of the challenges faced by those living with dementia. The movement focuses on the small actions individuals can undertake in order to help those affected.

Emsleys’ Leeds offices are located in Castleford, Colton, Crossgates, Garforth and Rothwell. Last year, Rothwell launched the UK’s first dementia friendly garden in Springhead Park. The space was created specifically for individuals living with dementia and their families to socialise.
