Emsleys Solicitors is shortlisted for ANOTHER major award this month
Leeds law firm Emsleys has been shortlisted in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards 2015.
With over 500 submissions and nominations being made this year, the awards is one of the most respected events within the legal sector, celebrating the most innovative legal work and recognising the game changing innovations across a number of areas including client service, technology and social responsibility.
After a rigorous vetting process, the announcement, made on Wednesday 19th August, shortlisted Emsleys in the Innovation in Growth and Business Development category for its national personal injury initiative Review My Claim.
Launched in 2013 to tackle the issue of poor legal advice and service, Review My Claim aims to help genuine accident victims receive the competition they are entitled to.Recent research, initiated by the firm, of over 2000 people showed that 30% of those who had recently settled a PI claim said that they had felt or into accepting compensation they were unhappy with, and 32% felt they were or into making a decision quickly. A further 58% had no idea they could change solicitor throughout their claim.
Emsleys' Director, serious injury expert and founder of Review My Claim, Andrew Greenwood said: Review My Claim not only provides clients with a free claim review, but it arms them with the information they need to decide if they are getting a fair service and the right amount of compensation. Our latest research confirms that the general public are still largely unaware that they have a choice when it comes to claiming. We will continue to address this with Review My Claim; a credible and accessible alternative.
This is the second year running that Emsleys has been recognised in the FT Innovative Lawyers Europe, having been commended in the 2014 league table results for Review My Claim as well as Client Service.

The recent news builds on this month earlier announcement from the Law Society, shortlisting the firm in two Excellence Awards categories.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on Thursday 1st October.
