If you are the victim of physical or sexual abuse, we can help. We understand that speaking out about abuse can be extremely difficult; however, our experts are on hand to guide you through every stage of the process.
You may have proceeded with and concluded a criminal case already, one may be ongoing at present, or you may not yet have considered this; either way, we can provide specialist confidential legal advice for survivors of all types of abuse, whether physical or sexual. We can act for adults or children, and our expertise extends to helping those that are vulnerable or have disabilities.
Our team has experience of representing large and small groups, as well as individuals. We will always look to settle claims out of court where possible. We understand the need for confidentiality and for there to be recognition of the trauma suffered by each and every victim of abuse.
We are experienced in making claims against authorities for offences committed by people in positions of responsibility, including schools, children’s homes and workplaces. We also deal with claims made through the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority (CICA).
No matter when the abuse took place, we can work with you to build a successful claim for compensation against those responsible. We will examine timescales (overcoming any challenges that arise here), evidence, and assess what expert evidence is required. We can also help with rehabilitation, including counselling and other recognised psychological therapies, for example Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to help you move forward with your life. We have a large team of experienced medical experts who work with us to ensure the best treatment and advice is obtained for you.
The team has extensive knowledge of physical and sexual abuse claims. We work closely with criminal and civil barristers to give additional support to our cases.
We aim to provide you with as much support as possible throughout the process. We work nationally and can visit you at home or in a place convenient to you.
Choosing a solicitor you can trust is very important, so please contact us for a free initial consultation. If you have started a claim elsewhere, it may be possible to change solicitors. We are experienced in reviewing past claims and obtaining substantial increased amounts of compensation.
